Referral Program Rolls Out
Refer a Friend, Get $100
July 2019
We know the aviation world is a small one and word gets out fast. Because of this, many of our clients come referred to us by their friends and fellow aviation enthusiasts. We wanted to show our appreciation by rolling out our new referral program. When a current client refers a friend who closes their loan through us, we will send a $100 Amazon gift card to the client who provided the lead. The only requirement is for the potential customer to mention the name of the friend who referred them. It’s as easy as that and a win-win for everyone!

Simsbury Fly-In Roundup
September 20, 2015
Dorr Aviation attended the 30th Anniversary of the Simsbury, CT Fly-In and it was the perfect fall day it! The event was filled with over 750 airplanes and vintage cars along with food vendors, the Shriner’s parade, biplane rides, banner towing demos and so much more for the family and airplane enthusiasts.
Once again, we were focused on meeting our fellow general aviation folks and loved talking “shop” with them. We also gave away a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 to one lucky winner, Robert B. from Danielson, CT. The best part of the day was calculating how many contacts we received since each one represented a $5 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project. In total we donated $450 to this fantastic cause.
We were glad to be part of this wonderful event and will definitely be back again next year. Visit this page often to see where we will be next!
Why it’s the Perfect Time to Buy (and Finance) an Airplane
Aviation Consumer’s Take on the Current Market Conditions

Aircraft Finance: A Good Time to Buy
By Rick Durden
Loan rates are as low as they’ve been in convenient memory—and look to stay that way for at least the next several months.
With the stock market in record territory, the economy still hesitant and fuel prices lower than in convenient memory, we decided to take a look at the state of the aircraft finance world. The Federal Reserve has kept the interest rates at historic lows—has that been reflected in available loan rates for aircraft purchases? Is this a good time to finance an airplane?
The short answer is yes—if you have a credit rating of at least 700, you should be able to qualify for a 20-year, fixed-rate aircraft loan at an annual rate in the sub five percent range. We think that’s very attractive.

AOPA’s Attendees Cultivate Donation for the Wounded Warrior Project
June 9th, 2015
On Saturday, June 6th we attended the AOPA Fly-In in Frederick, Maryland. It was invigorating to be among our peers in the aviation industry!
An Elleven Amped Checkpoint-Friendly Compu-Backpack was given away to one lucky winner, Jennifer W. of Frederick, MD. She was very enthused about the gift, however she was more excited about the contribution made to the Wounded Warrior Project. As promised, Dorr donated $5 for each business card we received, for a total donation of $265. The donation was made on June 9th.
We feel very strongly about supporting our military and we donate monthly the Wounded Warrior Project and the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund. Both are worthwhile charities, close to our hearts.
It was an impressive turnout at the Fly-In and we enjoyed meeting all the new and seasoned aviation enthusiasts but more importantly, we were glad we could use the event to benefit an admirable cause; a win/win for all!
